How do I site an article?
To cite an article, you first need to know what style guide you are required to use, as each has a different format. Generally, you will need the author's name(s), the article's title, the journal or magazine title (often italicized), the publication date, the volume and issue number, the page numbers, and a DOI or stable URL if the article was accessed online.
The good news is that most databases have a cite feature designated by a quotation mark icon.
Clicking on this cite feature icon will let you select the citation style (e.g. APA, MLA, Chicago). You can then copy and paste the citation. Make sure to double check this citation against a formatting or style guide as shown in this link: https://libguides.lourdes.edu/writingstyles
